Grades, origins and what actually drives the price
Our cardamom programme runs on two origins that behave very differently. Guatemalan bold cardamom gives a bright green colour and long, plump pods that display well in retail packs and gift tins. Indian cardamom from the Idukki and Bodinayakanur belt carries a heavier, sweeter oil profile that blend houses and biryani masala manufacturers prefer.
Every lot is bought against a drawn sample and screened to a declared size — typically 6.5 mm, 7.0 mm, 7.5 mm or 8.0 mm bold. Empties percentage, moisture and split ratio are quoted up front rather than left for you to discover at unloading.

Cardamom loses value fast in the wrong store. We keep it cool, dark and low-humidity, away from chilli and clove so the oils do not cross-contaminate.
