Minimum quantities, samples, price basis, payment terms, documentation and delivery — answered before you have to ask.
What is the minimum order quantity?
For spices held in stock at Moulvi Bazar we release from a single 25 kg bag upward, so small repackers and restaurants are welcome. For indent or contract imports the minimum depends on the spice and origin, usually one to five tonnes, and the exact figure is stated with the quotation.
Do you export spices from Bangladesh, or only import?
Our core business is importing spices into Bangladesh and supplying the domestic trade. We also supply export packers and buyers sourcing Bangladeshi-origin turmeric, chilli and mustard, and we assemble the origin documentation those shipments need. Send your requirement and we will tell you plainly whether we are the right supplier for it.
Can I get a sample before ordering?
Yes, and we recommend it. Every offer is made against a sample drawn from the actual lot. Dhaka buyers can collect from the shop or we courier it; overseas buyers receive a courier sample with the specification sheet. Orders confirm only after sample approval.
How do you price — FOB, CFR or delivered?
Whichever basis you prefer. Most domestic buyers want a landed, delivered price in taka with duty, VAT, AIT, port charges and inland freight already worked in. Import and export buyers can have FOB, CFR or CIF against a named port. The quotation always states the basis explicitly.
What payment terms do you offer?
Advance payment, letter of credit, and approved credit terms for established buyers. First orders are normally on advance or against delivery. Credit follows a trading history and a straightforward reference check.
Which documents come with a shipment?
Commercial invoice and packing list as standard. Depending on the consignment and your requirement: certificate of origin, phytosanitary certificate, fumigation certificate, bill of lading, and third-party lab analysis covering moisture, foreign matter, aflatoxin or microbiology.
Do you deliver outside Dhaka?
Yes. We dispatch by covered van and truck to Chattogram, Sylhet, Khulna, Rajshahi, Bogura, Cumilla, Mymensingh and other districts. Freight is quoted with the order, before dispatch, so nothing is added on arrival.
Can you grind and pack under my own brand?
Yes. We do contract grinding to your mesh, blending to your recipe, and private-label packing in pouches, jars or sachets with your artwork. Because we import the whole spices ourselves, input quality and cost stay under one roof. Minimum quantities are set per SKU.
How fast can you quote?
Within 24 hours on a working day for anything in our regular range. Unusual grades or origins that need an enquiry at origin take two to three days, and we tell you that up front instead of going quiet.
